Quiet. Leader. Thoughtful. Reflective.
As the old Sesame Street song goes: "which of these things is not like the others?"
If you said "leader", you're not alone, but my answer might surprise you.
Because as far as I'm concerned, they ALL fit together. Seamlessly.
I'm rejecting the model of loud leadership that's often promoted by the Davids and Jeremys in favour of something calmer.
Yes, you can lead, even if you aren't loud.
That's good news for introverts like myself. And I know it to be true, because that's what I've done (sometimes without meaning to.)
The more time passes, the less I want to fit myself into extractive, ill-fitting approaches.
So I've used my content to show up as my full self, and sometimes as a proxy for presence.
And I've made sure to look after my emotional wellbeing and mindset as I do.
Over the years, I've helped others to do it too:
-to lead by sharing their brilliance with the world
-to figure out the best way to work with their mindbody so they can actually GSD
-to ideate on the best approaches to get their message out
-to be accountable and keep their promises to themselves
Right now, I've got three ways I do that - I'd love to share those with you.
Get in touch if that’s of interest.
