Today, I was putting the finishing touches on the community agreements for the Still & Sovereign Retreat.

As you know, it's designed to be introvert-affirming. So I thought these two rules were the most important from that perspective:

  1. Your wellbeing is the priority. Opt out of what doesn't serve you - no shame, no shade - just let me know for admin purposes

  2. it is ok to pass if you don't feel like speaking in the moment

Why these rules? Because as an introvert, I've been to too many events where the presence demands are so high that they impair my wellbeing. I want people to have the space to honour their needs and to be affirmed in their right to do so.

I wish more events worked this way.

I'll be back after the Retreat with more updates.

Thanks for being here,

Sharon

P.S. I'm now taking enquiries for the next iteration of the Still & Sovereign Retreat, currently scheduled for May 2027. Learn more about the vision here:
